From Early Acorns Come Special Job Offers

In the good old days, and by that I mean anything before the current IT controlled means of achieving anything at all, we would go through senior school and take our small selection of exams.   Those slightly brighter ones would go on to 6th form college to take A levels and from there, possibly to university, teacher training or nursing school.  There was never any problem with shortage of jobs.  No one needed to be university trained unless the career specified a particular degree or formalised training course.  I started out as a junior travel agent in the firm my mother worked for.  I got this job through being a bright, confident, chatty teenager – who also showed some initiative whenever needed.  Today it is possible to beef up our meagre school output with e-learning and online education courses.  The choice is limitless and so are the jobs that can come from them.
